Arkansas Boating Education Requirements

All boat operators born on or after January 1, 1982 must complete a Arkansas & NASBLA-approved boater safety course in order to operate a motorboat greater than 10 HP.

Other Arkansas Boating Course Requirements

There is no minimum age requirement to take this online course. You do not have to be a resident of Arkansas to take this online course.

The Arkansas Boater Education Card

The Arkansas Boater Education Card (often referred to as "Arkansas boating License" or "Arkansas Boater Education Card") is proof that you have successfully completed all state-mandated boater education requirements.

Vessel operators who are required to have a Arkansas Boater Education Card must carry their card on board the vessel and have it available for inspection by enforcement officers.
