The Boater Education Card
The Boater Education Card (often referred to as "Arizona boating License" or "Arizona Boater Education Card") is proof that you have successfully completed all state-mandated boater education requirements.
Vessel operators who are required to have a Boater Education Card must carry their card on board the vessel and have it available for inspection by enforcement officers.

Arizona Boating Laws and Regulations
Arizona law does not require boating education. You can take this course to save on insurance or to boat in states that require a card.
Arizona Age and Operator Restrictions
No one under the age of 12 may operate a vessel with a motor greater than 8 horsepower (which includes PWC) unless:
- An emergency exists or…
- The child’s parent or legal guardian is on board or…
- Another person at least 18 years of age is on board.
