Now you’re ready to explore some of Florida’s top lakes.

Lake Okeechobee

The largest freshwater lake in Florida, Lake Okeechobee is known as Florida’s “inland sea.” The lake connects four counties and joins the Atlantic Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico, and with over 730 square miles, it offers plenty of room for fishing and watersports.

Lake Harris

Located in Lake County, Lake Harris is one of the seven lakes in the Oklawaha Chain and is known for its crystal-clear water and scenic views. Lake Harris offers many coves and islands to explore and lots of fishing opportunities for bass, catfish and crappie.

Lake Monroe

Conveniently located near Orlando, Lake Monroe is perfect for those looking for a more urban setting. Lake Monroe is popular for boating, fishing, and water sports, and its central location means it offers plenty of amenities to make your day on the water more enjoyable.

Lake George

Located in the Ocala National Forest, Lake George is known for its crystal-clear waters and scenic beauty. The many activities enjoyed on Lake George include fishing, tubing, skiing and exploring nearby springs.

Before getting on the water, be sure you understand Florida’s Local Boating Regulations. It’s also important to check the weather forecast, ensure your safety equipment is in good working order and know how to handle any boating emergencies that may arise.

We hope these recommendations help you find the perfect Florida lake for your next boating adventure. Have fun and be safe!
